Noveza

Noveza was founded by Martí Jiménez, a Costa Rican with ample experience in founding, developing, and structuring companies in different industries. Mr. Jiménez founded or co-founded the following companies with over $20M in combined capital raised.
Novita Capital was founded in 2004 and Mr. Jiménez was Managing Director until 2011, when he sold his participation in the company. Mr. Jiménez led the development of projects, numerous financial advisories, and a major real estate initiative in Guanacaste, Costa Rica (Pacific coast).
Veragua Rainforest, inaugurated by President Oscar Arias in 2008, is the largest tourism investment in the history of the province of Limón, Costa Rica (Caribbean coast). Mr. Jiménez co-founded the company, led the business plan and capital raising, and has chaired the Board of Directors since inception.
Hospital Metropolitano opened in early 2011 in San José, Costa Rica (the capital) and has since opened two satellite clinics in other towns. Mr. Jiménez is a co-founder and had an active role in the structuring of the investment; he sold his participation in the company in 2015.
Verdeza, located in Escazú, Costa Rica, was inaugurated by President Laura Chinchilla in 2013 as the first continuing care retirement community in Central America. Noveza led the development and structuring of the project and Mr. Jiménez serves as the Managing Partner of the company.
Mr. Jiménez also has significant experience in investment banking throughout Central America from his years at Mesoamerica, the region’s renowned private equity and M&A firm. He also had internships at Ramius Capital Group, a hedge fund in New York, and in strategy consulting at Bain & Company. He has served on boards of directors in the private sector and at a cabinet-level board in the public sector. Mr. Jiménez is currently on the Board of Visitors of the Organization for Tropical Studies, on the Costa Rica National Committee of Incae Business School, and in the Investment Committee of EcoEnterprises Fund. He is a Fellow of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Mr. Jiménez is an Industrial Engineer from the Universidad de Costa Rica and an MBA from Harvard University.
